     :   influences,  Conceptions  is a collection of 5 originals from     :
     :'  Dean, three from Copeland and two from Binder which showcase a   ':
    ,:   broad palette of musical styles within the jazz genre. This       :,
     :   includes more contemporary harmonies, rhythms, and interplay on   :
     :'  swing, straight-eighth, odd meter compositions and more. Dean,   ':
    ,:   Binder, and Copeland all met while completing their Doctorates    :,
     :   in Jazz Studies at the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana.   :
