We think that mini-CDs are an underrated medium. True, they don't play well
with car CD players (but then those seem to be a disappearing phenomenon
these days), but they're small and cute and put an even harder constraint on
how much content you can sling around. Also, designing a physical artifact is
something we've missed doing, so we gave into our crafting urges and made a
small batch of these discs housed in vellum sleeves, because translucent
paper is also underrepresented.

What, yet another project? While there is a previous entry in the Buddha On
The Moon catalogue that roughly fits the pigeon hole of "short, electronic
pieces" (re: buddhaonthemoon.bandcamp.com/album/cosmonauts), I feel the
shorter pieces that comprise this release follow a different trajectory.
The project name, The Adjunct Committee, is intended as a self-effacing
homage to the menhirs dotting the hauntologic ordnance survey map, but I
guess that's fairly obvious to the point of it seeming a pastiche. Following
the playbook of a dear friend and sonic influence, I'd set some borders and
constraints on how these pieces were created, with duration marking the
primary boundaries.

Dream Pop
is a subgenre of
alternative rock and neo-psychedelia
that emphasizes atmosphere and sonic texture as much as pop
melody. Common characteristics include breathy vocals, dense productions,
and effects such as reverb, echo, tremolo, and chorus. It often
overlaps with the related genre of shoegaze, and the
two genre terms have at times been
used interchangeably.
