brimstone thanks for this release....
following his third album, ôdiary of a lonely sailorö (plac030-2,
may 2002), which was heartily embraced and hailed by the music
press, plastic city presents the second timewriter mix
compilation. deep train 2 offers a selection of sophisticated
house pearls which are cosily embedded in a layer of sensuality.
like his own productions, deep train 2 comes as a truly deep and
emotional deliverance. the darmstadt-based artist serves a
top-class selection of house productions which are otherwise
available but on vinyl. the timewriter blends the tracks chosen
with heart and intuition into an extra tight mix, full of warm
sounds, cool and hypnotic beats and fat bass lines while always
tinting them with a connoisseurÆs portion of soul.
while his preceding compilation (from november 2001) presented
rather an overview of what was up and cooking at that point of
time, deep train 2 represents exactly the kind of style, which the
timewriter currently spins at his dj sets all over the world.
right from the very first track on, deep train 2 invites in to
groove along, to shake legs and limbs or wiggle hips, before the
plot of this compilation culminates in the breathtakingly dynamic
track ôshady placeö by neon heights. the timewriter then cushions
this dynamic highlight with a wole lot of knowledge and the cool
swayzak track ômake up your mindö, before retreating to the
superbly relaxed sound of the last four tracks. the ambassador of
tech-house also makes a personal cameo appearance with his
introduction to the very last track - in almost barry white style
he thanks for lending an ear and sees off his fans and listeners.
check it out! with tracks and productions of fred everything,
romanthony, neon heights, swayzak, blu mar ten, solomonic sound
and, of course, the timewriter himself. dive deep into this
soulful universe and enjoy the pleasure!
