     Benny Soebardja is a musician born in Tasikmalaya, Tatar Pasundan, who grew
     up in the era of the Nusantara-style flower generation in the mid-1960s and
     is considered the Godfather of Indonesian Progrock Underground by foreign
     media because of his dedication and long, uncompromising consistency. Benny
     Soebardja's progress in the Indonesian music scene stems from a group
     called The Peels. The musical activity of The Peels was not long, however,
     this group has become an important part of the development of Indonesian
     music that is able to penetrate neighboring countries, namely Singapore and
     Malaysia. The Peels were first founded in 1966. Then they raised Sharkmove
     with their debut album Ghede Chokras. In 1973, Giant Step produced albums
     namely Giant on The Move (SM Recording), Kukuh Nan Teguh (Nova Recording),
     Persada Tercinta (Giant Step Volume I, Irama Tara), Tinombala (Giant Step
     Vol II, Irama Tara) and Giant Step Volume III (Rhythm of Tara).
