9 unreleased and highly sought after tracks
from legendary NYC DJ/Producer Junior
Vasquez, released under his pseudonym Ellis
D. This CD contains both original
productions and remixes of other artists, as
well as new remixes of his older original
productions. Some are fairly recent while
other tracks are years old and had not seen
release.
The tracklisting is as it appeared on the CD
itself. There were no liner notes at all or
any other information given (no covers
included even--front or back). So while some
tracks I felt should have the original artist
receive credit (especially "Ride", which
stays very true to the original with only
minor changes), I chose to leave it the way
it came listed. This is also the reason I
did not extend the names to their full titles
("Ride" instead of "Baby Wants To Ride"; "The
Needle" instead of "Lift Up The Needle"), or
attempt to differentiate between the older
original productions of songs and their newer
versions. ("Lift Up The Needle" originally
came out back in '97-'98. The version here
is a 2002 remix.)
This CD is a bootleg put out by Junior
himself, with a very limited number sold (50,
from what I was told). Enjoy it.
