the formula is simple: bass, beats and soul - the three basic
elements of which great music is made today. keep it simple, that
is what┤s important and most of all don┤t miss out on your special
touch. a concept that smith & mighty from bristol have known by
heart from the start of their almost fifteen year career.
naturally, it┤s what you can also hear on "maybe it┤s me", the
newest single from smith & mighty┤s highly acclaimed longplayer
"life is...".
a soulful song, where strings hum and a soft organ sound is
vibrating to which razor sharp bristol beats groove that get
carried by a warm bass. and then there┤s the magnificent voice of
hazel jayne that provides the perfect sound for the lovers lyrics.
"maybe it┤s me": a timeless urban soul masterpiece.
"maybe it┤s me" is released in three different mixes. the "blue &
red" mix substracts the bass from the original and recycles old
school 303 beats. bristol drum n┤bass legend dj suv created a
manic almost jump up style floor burner in typical bristol style.
and of course, there┤s the orginal version that is also featured
on "life is...". nice ┤em all up!
