no resistance is the debut album from the sunday brunch duo aka
jesper dahlbΣck and sebastian ahrenberg. they have previously made
three releases for svek as sunday brunch but has also released
material as individual artists.
jesper dahlbΣck has worked with svek founder stephan grieder since
the label started around 1996 and has produced and co-produced
half of the labels catalogÆs 60 releases under pseudonyms such as
the persuader ,brommage dub etc.
this is his latest colaboration with another producer ,sebastian
ahrenberg, especially known from the much acknowledged good
looking label. he has under his psuedonym seba released a number
of records and toured the world with ltj bukemÆs logical
progression tours.
sunday brunch also consists of guest vocalists and musicians, of
which mark oÆsullivan, robert manos and anders paulsson appear on
the no resistance album. mark oÆsullivan is also known as the
drivning force behind the mighty quark and bacuzzi projects.robert
manos has worked with new york based alexi delano and thru his
connection with svek he did a guest appearance on the album.
anders paulsson is a respected soprano saxophone soloist whoÆs
masterful tone has inspired many composers to write directly for
him. this is his first collaboration with svek.
sunday brunch as been a concept about laidback sunday music ,
music for the afternoon brunch.when making the album the concept
grew a bit to also engage the dancefloor sound of today.towards
the end of the cd they gather all the ônight driveö mixes which
has a more deep and heavier touch of the the sunday brunch sound.
