Luke Solomon is behind Unfinished Business Vol.1, a new mix series
dropping on Classic in May 2014.

The Classic chief is no stranger to DJ compilations: his most recent
effort, Cutting Edge, saw dual-release through D-Edge and Kompakt in
2012. His latest project will showcase a more thorough approach,
placing Solomon in the role of "record shop assistant/curator",
rather than simply club DJ. Hitting the shelves just as Solomon
relaunches his Business As Usual: Live from the Washhouse radio show,
the 30-track mix will feature cuts from across the US jock's
                               three-decade career.

ôIt has been interesting to watch dance music do almost a full circle
over the last two decadesö says Solomon. ôSo as well as showcasing
newer, more contemporary house I also wanted to include music from my
past that has translated to present day. The idea behind the series
and radio show is that I will be your slightly odd, slightly
off-centre, guide. But ultimately and most importantly, your friendly
                        on-line record shop assistant.ö

Nestled in amongst classics from the likes of OBX ("ItÆs All We Know"),
Floorplan ("Baby, Baby") and Sundowners ("Jungle Line") are records
from a slew of new-school producers, including Inkswel, Matthew Styles
and Boe & Zak. Solomon himself features frequently, whether as remixer
("The Calling"), collaborator alongside Roual Galloway ("Dance With Me
(Wild Mix) or all alone ("You Rest Easy").
