one and a half years after its premiere the 'inhouse' compilation
is still riding high on the wave of success. house from germany is
no longer a taboo, and in the meantime even the media have
recognized that a style has developed which has long since
emancipated itself from its spiritual roots.
house 'made in germany' isn't the name of some ludicrous
experiment but rather stands for quality music which has an
excellent reputation beyond the country's own borders. the
'inhouse' series charts the progress of this scene which, in the
meantime, has successfully established itself. there are
producers, artists, idealists and other house aficionados who are
attempting to remain true to their credo to maintain the lure and
luster of the house sound in order to transport the groove, the
fun and especially the passion for this music to the surface from
the depths of their bustling musicians' souls. the small but fine
differences have always been that which comprises that certain
something. 'inhouse volume three' carries on the journey into the
subsonic depths of this music, charting the current borders and
spaces of house 'made in germany'. time for discovery. discovery
of time. it offers an overview of what in the meantime has
happened and what will happen in german label and producer
circles. and appropriately, one finds not only such usual suspects
as soul parlor's funktermits, who know how to make a funky tingle
run down your spine, but also the leipzig-based producer and dj,
frankman, who once again demonstrates the timelessness of this
music. the mother-of-pearl-coated soul of georg levin feat. clara
hill opens up a breast only to fill it again with the crystal
protuberances of a vincenzo . and there are many more to discover!
