Fergie Intro: Fergie's unique and inspirational story provides a new paradigm
for any aspiring youngster to follow, it's a tale of ambition, unswerving
determination, and taking your opportunities. The result has been the
realisation of a dream! Not many djs can lay claim to having their club debut at
a tender 14 years of age, but the ambitious young Fergie did just that. By the
age of 16, Fergie had infiltrated and exhausted Ireland's club scene and set his
sights across the water. Fergie arrived in the UK and was soon introduced to the
late and great Tony De Vit whom became a friend and mentor, and he remains to
this day as one of Fergie's most inspirational influences.

Before long Fergie was making a name for himself with the UK 's clubbers in
renowned nights such as 'Trade' and 'Sundissential' and proving just why there
was such a hype surrounding his arrival. It didn't take long for Fergie to
become one of the most talked about and in demand DJs in the UK, with a profile
that was escalating at a meteoric rate.

Fergie's style was born through the harder hitting styles of house music, and
through the past five years, his style has evolved to encompass a much wider
appreciation and exploration of dance genres, with a current style closest
resembling 'techno fuelled' beats.

By 2002 Fergie's talents were acknowledged by Radio 1, and provided him with the
opportunity to showcase his sound to both the Nation and the world on a weekly
basis. Fergie has also utilised his public position to contribute something back
to aspiring youngsters, coining the term 'Future Heroes'. Through a culmination
of his Radio 1 show, his column in Mixmag, and a dedicated night at Turnmills,
Fergie has created a multimedia platform to nurture dance music's rising stars.

His benevolence to help others can be seen in his sponsorship support of his
beloved local Irish football team, more recently he brought the Radio 1 show
live from their football stadium to raise money for the club as part of his
inaugural homecoming weekend. Whilst juggling his hugely successful radio show,
Fergie has still found time to satisfy the international demand for his dj
skills, as well as championing tours such as Godskitchen's first major assault
on the US.

The natural progression for Fergie has been to translate his passion and ideas
into his own productions. Fergie's first release was in 1999 with the track 'Ooh
Sir' on Trade Records, which were followed by tracks such as 'Hoovers & Horns'
and 'House Of Pain' both on the now sadly defunct 'Nucleuz'. His burgeoning
talent resulted in an exclusive singles deal with the renowned 'Duty Free'
label. His debut mix compilation on Ministry Of Sound, under the 'Headliners'
also proved a huge success.
