Lying somewhere between Luke Vibert and Mr.Scruff, Monkey MagicÆs
first EP for Deep-Water is the most dance-floor friendly release
from the usually Horizontal label. Catch the monkey himself playing
it in the Big Chill dance tent this year and at his regular
appearances at Catskills in Brighton and at Offcentre in London.
After his irrepressible birth from an egg on a mountain top, Monkey
has been busy with many things. Half of the original Zenmasters,
Monkey has been solely, jointly & collectively responsible for a
whole bucketful of shenanigans. From the plethora of the Zen's events
in the beginning, to the 8 deck contemporary dance beast Kinetic.
From the Renewable energy stage @ LeicesterÆs Energy 2000 festival
to the more recent 4 deck Monkey Magic & Mr King show. Now going solo
while Mr King goes 'bling' in Oz, Mr Magic is finally releasing some
records with the Deep Water record label under both the magic ape
persona and as part of the Bathysphere collective. Mind the Gap.
