║▓║ ║ Africanism: a new world collision of African rhythm and digital ║ ║▓║
║▓║ ║ futurism, ancient mysticism and contemporary melodicism - the music ║ ║▓║
║▓║ ║ of jungles from Cape Town to Cairo re-interpreted in the concrete ║ ║▓║
║▓║ ║ jungle and mixed up by modern African masters ║ ║▓║
║▓║ ║ ║ ║▓║
║▓║ ║ Between July 2000 and February 2001, Yellow Productions released a ║ ║▓║
║▓║ ║ series of singles under the name Africanism which have been brought ║ ║▓║
║▓║ ║ together on Bob Sinclar's mix. It features fourteen tracks of awesome ║ ║▓║
║▓║ ║ audio Africana from the Africanism All Stars, who comprise of Bob ║ ║▓║
║▓║ ║ Sinclar, DJ Gregory, Eddie Amador, Martin Solveig, Julien Jabre, Liquid ║▓║
║▓║ ║ People, Salome De Bahia and Soha. Tracks featured include 'Bisou ║ ║▓║
║▓║ ║ Sucre', 'Tourment D'Amour', 'Block Party', 'Love Is The Answer', 'Les ║ ║▓║
║▓║ ║ Enfants Du Bled' and 'Edony'. Gregory's mix maintains the world music ║ ║▓║
║▓║ ║ flavour with tracks from MAW, Julien Jabre, and John Ciafone. ║ ║▓║
║▓║ ║ ║ ║▓║
║▓║ ║ Gregory is a well established DJ and producer with enormous ║ ║▓║
║▓║ ║ versatility as demonstrated not only by his contribution to the ║ ║▓║
║▓║ ║ Africanism project but also to the Bossa Tres Jazz collection and ║ ║▓║
║▓║ ║ his work alongside Julien Jabre as SOHA. His new label Faya Combo has ║ ║▓║
║▓║ ║ received widespread recognition off the back of his Debut release, ║ ║▓║
║▓║ ║ 'Tropical Soundclash', now signed to Defected. The track has reached ║ ║▓║
║▓║ ║ Buzz Chart No 1, DJ Ibiza Hype No 1, Muzik magazine Chart No 1 and is ║ ║▓║
║▓║ ║ featured on his mix for the album. ║ ║▓║
║▓║ ║ ║ ║▓║
║▓║ ║ Bob Sinclar is a well known name in the house scene. Aside from his ║ ║▓║
║▓║ ║ obvious contribution to Yellow Productions and Africanism, he has ║ ║▓║
║▓║ ║ also released two albums the second of which, 'Champs Elysees', was ║ ║▓║
║▓║ ║ released on Defected. From it came two club and chart hits 'Feel For ║ ║▓║
║▓║ ║ You' and 'Darlin', and the underground smash 'Save Our Soul'. ║ ║▓║
