I'm far too tired tonight to write a personal
review of the album, so below I've included a
review from the web that I felt most
accurately describes the compilation. In my
defense, however, allow me to say that my
classification of the album as 'electronic'
and my inability to pop out a review is not a
coincidence: the 2 cds are not only different
from eachother, but each seems to glide in
between styles -- from jungle, to progressive
house to psy trance, and finally back to
progressive house (not in that order). Bear
in mind as you're listening to the album that
it is indeed from 1997 and consequently
presents sounds that aren't necessarily
popular today. Hope you enjoy.
If you like smooth, classy, styley beats then
the sound of Renaissance is for you. All
Renaissance cds have their own feel and
always ( except for the coming to America
album ) feature two, to three completely
different DJs. This CD is one of the more
impressive ones. Dave Seaman Starts out the
first disk with a tribal progressive house
sound, that smoothly glides it's way into a
progressive remix by Garbage that winds it
way into track 9 ( I forgot the name! whoops.
) which maticulusly blends into a choice drum
and bass track, and then closes out with an
uplifting heartfilled track by Lamb.
Then Robert Miles comes on. I had heard
Robert Miles before this album and expected
his set to be a completely 'fluffy' dream
trance voyage, but is instead some of the
best psy trance I've ever heard. He starts
out with a touch of melody that tears it's
way into Nick Warren's Way Out West and goes
from there with some of the most creative in
your face psy trance I've ever heard making
this album a must have for anyone who
appriciates a good progressive house set with
a screaming psy trance close out.

of what they tell you, they are indeed a
warez channel ... be persistent and you'll
get what you want), 1REAL, tronik and the
other DS gurls (wrekt, sweetie, I want those
farking pictures)
