     A true innovator who elevated the art of rhyme to new levels of complexity,
     Myka 9 emerged in the early 1990s with influential Los Angeles collective
     Freestyle Fellowship. After the group sparked California's underground
     hip-hop movement with dazzling jazz-inflected flows, Myka launched an
     ambitious solo career, further developing his singular style while working
     with Talib Kweli, Cut Chemist, Prefuse 73, Busdriver, Open Mike Eagle, and
     more. Blu took inspiration from pioneers like Freestyle Fellowship in
     crafting the next generation of electric lyricism, becoming a remarkably
     consistent presence in the modern L.A. rap scene. The talented emcee's deep
     catalog of intricate rhymes includes four classics with Exile, plus albums
