program captures the precious period in rap music when the
introduction of synthesizer technology created a wild
flurry of creativity. Hip hop's most free-form, no
rules era, before the synth format was formalized forever
by "Planet Rock." The music on this compilation focuses on
the Harlem scene, particularly the work of Barry Michael
Cooper.
