following on from the success of the stoned asia music series,
pathaan's small world takes the listener on a voyage of authentic
rhythmic chants blended with ambient grooves and global beats on a
mixed double cd featuring 9 exclusive tracks.
it's been a whirlwind couple of years for pathaan. as well as
writing for dj magazine on a regular basis, he has been
consistently building the stoned asia music following through 2
weekly nights (the redstar and living in brixton), as well as
monthly nights at cargo, shoreditch, and international residencies
in italy, nyc and barcelona most recently as march 2002. every
summer finds him on the white isle, and residencies have included
kumharas and las dalias, plus guest slots at cafΘ del mar and
     pacha.
the future's bright for stoned asia music and a&r pathaan as the
label will be moving into the 12" market and artist led albums
planned for 2002, as well as the release of the recent edition 4.
