Brazilian synth virtuoso Pedro Zopelar is a real favourite here: his
neon-bathed beats come on top labels like Apron and dig into boogie, deep
house, electro and ambient with serious sensuality. This new one again
merges vintage machines with future synth visions, from the ping-pong
melodies of 'Primal Vision' to the interplay between smooth chords and
kinetic rhythms on 'Ancient Methods.' 'Cosmic Romance' brings more rugged
and dusty grooves, which allow for the synth lines to sing and 'Primitive
Instinct' is a scruffy, raw drum track straight from Detroit. Superb as
ever.
enjoy!
