     From post-grunge Seattle comes the power-pop quartet Super Deluxe and their
     upbeat, sugary songs bursting with catchy hooks and sing-along choruses.
     The band's debut album, Famous, follows in the tradition of the Posies and
     Matthew Sweet, with Braden Blake's clear vocals merged with engaging
     harmonies. Blake and guitarist John Kirsch use a straightforward playing
     style with little or no distortion to create a strong, tight sound. With
     ten compact tracks, Famous runs just over 30 minutes. Stand-out tracks
     include "She Came On" and "Holly's Dream Vacation." Super Deluxe delivers
     cheerful pop that's not watered down or overly syrupy.
