Sub Titans is a real-time strategy game which puts players in command of one
of three civilizations in conflict. Taking place underwater across a range
of fully 3D landscapes, players must collect and manage their resources to
build the units and structures necessary to defeat their foes.
The game includes advanced computer AI and controls that will allow players
to give their units series of commands and have them carry them out without
supervision, freeing the player to concentrate on other elements.
Sub Titans will feature about 100 units and structures and advanced 3D
terrain, allowing units to hide behind or under features such as caves and
tunnels. This gives players the opportunity to experiment with a wider
variety of strategies to achieve victory than ever before.
Game Features:
3D Sound.
This feature will provide players with an all-engulfing surround listening
experience while playing Sub Titans. Realistic sounds coming from the
player's front, left, right or behind depending on their relative source
positions will complete the illusion that players are submerged in a
3-dimensional world.
Support for screen resolutions up to 1280x1024.
Sub Titans will support screen resolutions from 800x600 up to 1280x1024
to allow players to view a larger portion of the playing field without
scrolling, allowing them a more strategic overview of the game. To play
the game at higher resolutions a powerful PC will be required, with
recommended requirements to be confirmed.
Team play - up to 24 players
Sub Titan's multiplayer mode will support up to 24 human and 8 AI players
simultaneously controlling up to 8 different civilisations in team-based
scenarios and campaigns. The total human players will include spectators,
allowing any combination of players and spectators up to the 24 player limit.
This allows a level of teamplay not approached by any real time strategy
title to-date and will take full advantage of Sub Titan's range of different
styles of multiplayer scenarios.
While the full 16 human players will only be recommended for high speed
networks such as LANs, cable or direct dial services, over the Internet the
title will still be able to support a large number of players and spectators
in either deathmatch or team-based play.
