Track 01 (a1) written, produced, and mixed by T. Tauri which consists of
Symbiosis (Stan and Deryl Dorsett) and Hardkiss (Gavin and Scott
Hardkiss) with additional engineering by Jeff Goldman. Track 02 (a2)
written and produced by T. Tauri with additional mixing by Hawke and
Darwin Chamber, drums by Shaheen, featuring vocals by Dallas Crow.
Released as a test pressing through Rainbo Records (Berkley, CA).
Yet another rare Symbiosis project is dragged from obscurity and
resurrected in all it's glory to please your ear hole. T. Tauri is an
oblique collaboration between the Hardkiss brothers and the Dorsett
brothers (Symbiosis) occuring around the time Symbiosis was putting the
finishing touches on their renown and revered Numinous EP (which not-so
coincidentally featured a Hardkiss remix of Conception II). Track 01
(which has been titled as the "No Felt mix" on a Sunburn/Baroness
compilation) is a breaking swirling atmospheric number with a depth that
only Symbiosis could bring to the table. Lush cords delicately drapped
over some peculiar percussion sequences supported by an insistant bass
guitar. Track 02 (which has been titled as the "Pancacke for Every One
mix" and also referred to as the Hawke & Darwin remix) is an odd
downtempo/techno piece featuring some erratic percussion sequences, a few
fists full of ambient effects, and a few drops of acid here and there.
In my opinion the A side (01) track is the better of the two but I
encourage you to judge for youself.
