▓ █▓▓ is a decidedly different pairing of Gridlock and ▓▓█ ▓
▓ █▓▓ Steel. ▓▓█ ▓
▓ █▓▓ ▓▓█ ▓
▓ █▓▓ Here we have two artists both making urban sound- ▓▓█ ▓
▓ █▓▓ tracks that slip into pro-industrial territory ▓▓█ ▓
▓ █▓▓ at any given moment. Their individual sounds ▓▓█ ▓
▓ █▓▓ compliment each other nicely. Gridlock's first ▓▓█ ▓
▓ █▓▓ track is all soundscaping drones and streetlight ▓▓█ ▓
▓ █▓▓ melodies counterpointed by mechanical rhythms, ▓▓█ ▓
▓ █▓▓ that work almost subtly away behind the washes ▓▓█ ▓
▓ █▓▓ it reminds me of parts from Arovane's "Atol Scrap" ▓▓█ ▓
▓ █▓▓ and has something to a Berlin-By-Night feel about ▓▓█ ▓
▓ █▓▓ it. ▓▓█ ▓
▓ █▓▓ ▓▓█ ▓
▓ █▓▓ Steel is probably better known as "Biochip C" for ▓▓█ ▓
▓ █▓▓ umpteen hardcore records on just as many labels. ▓▓█ ▓
▓ █▓▓ His tracks here are what ther sound of those ▓▓█ ▓
▓ █▓▓ distant machines would be like if they broke free ▓▓█ ▓
▓ █▓▓ of the assembly line and ran amok. The Beats are ▓▓█ ▓
▓ █▓▓ pounding and crunchy, while scraping steel ▓▓█ ▓
▓ █▓▓ mechanics and hissing pistons grind and laugh. ▓▓█ ▓
▓ █▓▓ There is menace in this music... . . ▓▓█ ▓
▓ █▓▓ ▓▓█ ▓
▓ █▓▓ Gridlock closes with a remix of steels earlier ▓▓█ ▓
▓ █▓▓ track and winds down the mischief as similarly ▓▓█ ▓
▓ █▓▓ crunchy rythms eventually drift away to be replaced ▓▓█ ▓
▓ █▓▓ with the subtle mechanics of before. KlangKrieg ▓▓█ ▓
▓ █▓▓ have certianly succeeded with this 'Connected' ▓▓█ ▓
▓ █▓▓ project for they manage to produce results that ▓▓█ ▓
▓ █▓▓ tend to show different sides to the artist. ▓▓█ ▓
