Biography:
DJ 19 is not just a nu-breed DJ, but also a well-respected producer who has
already established himself as a pioneer in the Japanese club scene. With
endless enthusiasm and support for music, he now continues to cultivate and
revolutionize the music industry by not only being a DJ/producer, but also as a
label owner (19BOX RECORDINGS / PARK LIMITED MUZIK / 19BOX LIMITED), an
event-organizer (PARK), and a music journalist with various music columns in
several magazines and mobile websites.
As a DJ, his sets draw from his vast knowledge of music. While he resides in
Tokyo, he performs all over Asia, as well as breaking into the scenes in
England, Turkey, USA, and Italy. In 2002, he was invited to play the main room
at Heaven as guest of the Bedrock party in London. With over 20 mixed CD
compilations, including a Bedrock compilation for Japan, DJ 19 is a world-wide
name with past radio mixes being aired on John Digweed's Kiss FM radio show in
the UK, and new mixes airing monthly on Top Radio in Belgium, and Proton Radio
in the US.
Back in Tokyo, DJ 19 is a resident at "the ocean∩" (formerly known as
"Mothership", a monthly party at the world-renowned venue, Liquid Room.
