This latest release from Tony Wahcuku, one half of the UK duo
Attica Blues, has the requisite twisted synth lines, harsh drum
sounds, and fat analog bass that you've come to expect from the
broken beat sound. However, his deep, warm vocals and sparkling
piano flourishes save the track from being an exercise in style.
The B side remix sounds like someone spilled maple syrup all over
the master tapes. Wahcuku creates a slow and sticky affair that
will appeal to those who like their downtempo weird and funky.
While not as essential as his explosive 2001 debut 12" "The Way",
Wahcuku has put out another worthy release.
