Release Notes: ░██▓
██▒
The daddies of sonic stupidity pressed up platters of souped ██░
up beats and pieces and distrubuted them amongst the most ██
delinquent sound terrorists to wreak havoc inter-pretation ██
in their own styles. The beats and pieces series continues ██
to explore the turf that lies between turntable kights of ██
the analogue age and the ticktocknology of digital ██
manipulation... ██
██
More beats and pieces is a a thread commenting on the ██
current states of DJ and remixing techniques. Coldcut ██
reasoning that the best interface for a DJ could still be ██
direct vinyl manipulation, the starting point for all mixes ██
was a custom Coldcut 12" of which only 30 copies were ██
produced. The 12" contained a broad selection of beat ██
matched loops and samples, including drum loops evolved ██
fromthe Led Zeppelin break used by Coldcut 10 years ago on ██
their original Beats and Pieces. ██
██
The mixes contrast different takes on analog (classic ██
vinyl/scratching/x-fade mixing/linear editing) vs digital ██
(multitrack harddisk recording/on screen non linear ██
editing/sequencing/fx) ██
██
██
whew... long winded. then it goes on to describe every ██
fucking mix on there... ██
██
whatever. its pretty dope... the beans and pizzas mix is kid ██
koala, strictly kev from dj food, and ollie teeba from the ██
herbaliser on a live mix... ██
██
the meet the weasels mix is from one guy on the ninjatune ██
bill chocolate weasel. the rest is pretty much self ██
explanatory. peace. ██

░▒ Fuck the Dumb is a group founded in 2000 based on a very simple
░ philosophy : "Fuck Dumb Shit." FTD is about releasing dope music
░ of various types. If you're interested in fighting IRC wars over
who can release the most N-Sync, there are plenty of other MP3
groups to be down with. If you want to be down with the realness,
