▓████▓▌ SITTEL SITCD 9282 In response to the positive ▓▌
▓████▓▌ reaction by American listeners to Californian radio ▓▌
▓████▓▌ broadcasts featuring Andreas PetterssonÆs Sittel CD ▓▌
▓████▓▌ "Duke with a Gibson" (SITCD 9262) producer Marianne ▓▌
▓████▓▌ Sample invited Andreas to perform four concerts in ▓▌
▓████▓▌ the region in June 2001. For this purpose Andreas ▓▌
▓████▓▌ took with him pianist Daniel Karlsson and bassist ▓▌
▓████▓▌ Mattias Svensson. The three Swedish musicians ▓▌
▓████▓▌ joined forces with established West Coast super- ▓▌
▓████▓▌ musicians Ernie Watts, tenor sax and flute, and ▓▌
▓████▓▌ drummer John Guerin. The resulting quintet was soon ▓▌
▓████▓▌ playing like a long-established group to wildly ▓▌
▓████▓▌ enthusiastic audiences. The night of the fourth ▓▌
▓████▓▌ concert was recorded at the legendary jazz club ö ▓▌
▓████▓▌ The Baked Potatoö situated in the San Fernando ▓▌
▓████▓▌ Valley in North Hollywood. Just how tightly unified ▓▌
▓████▓▌ the group had become in such a short time can be ▓▌
▓████▓▌ heard to full advantage on this exciting CD which ▓▌
▓████▓▌ contains seven selections five of which Andreas has ▓▌
▓████▓▌ recorded before on his previous CDs for Sittel but ▓▌
▓████▓▌ which now sound entirely new and fresh in these ▓▌
▓████▓▌ latest interpretations. öSeven Steps To Heavenö and ▓▌
▓████▓▌ "Dear Old Stockholm" however have never been ▓▌
▓████▓▌ recorded by Andreas before. So successful was this ▓▌
