For a long time the preparing work moved to this first publication
the again formed volume Celebrate The None, which understands itself
as successor and/or Reinkarnation of the Synthpopkulttrios of the
late 80's - Celebrate The now - and was called about the then
initial member Slin Tompson in the life.
Now the first Maxi CD with the title appeared "Arthur Have You Eaten
universe The Ginger Biscuits". Who knows the old Celebrate The now
TRACKS, went with very large expectations to this publication near -
not least also, because no smaller than Carlo Peron produced the new
disk. Celebrate The None in music know to fallen, nice melodies,
purposeful bass LINES and dancable Beats quite make the title
TRACKS, which is to be found in two versions on this clay/tone
carrier, actually to a pleasant hearing pleasure - actually!
Because at the latest with the first tones of the new singer Skye
Burns, the trained listener and friend of the synthetic music
solidify and stop irritated.
The texts are sung in such a manner hard, it are missing at any
reasonable (rounder) stress of the English words; and which concerns
the melody and the heights and depths, the singing sounds itself
simply cruelly.
One must really ask oneself whether on the inside of the CD Booklets
only the name of Carlo Peron is to be read, because to its studio
was taken up. Otherwise it must have had vacation or a hearing fall
when producing. This wrong singing and a Song on CD, completely
unstimmigen in itself, to press, borders on insanity and place
platzverschwendung. The first bonus TRACK of the Maxi CD is with
"wants You There" a Coverversion of an old Celebrate The now TRACKS
and also completely well successful
- the singing, whatever here not when well is to be designated, is
integrated better into the music and works not as much as with
"Arthur Have You Eaten universe The Ginger Biscuits" as foreign
body. The second additional Song on this publication is "Un Estate
Nuovo" a instrumentaler TRACK, which is to be listened to influences
united by Vivaldi in itself and really beautifully.
However the two pieces of bonus cannot save the general impression
of the Maxi CD any longer, since the two versions of "Arthur Have
You Eaten universe The Ginger Biscuits" are in such a manner bad
that it will probably give a herbe crash landing for the
again-formed project to Celebrate The None.
One can only hope that the album announced for the spring 2003
better - and up to then can the singing by different measures
perhaps also still become "corrected".
