Do not mistake Gabestok's cynical vision for
discouragement. The danish duo continues to spit out
their relentless frustrations in all directions.
This time around on 'På herrens brakmark' the production
is a little less butch and bass-driven but just as fisty
and in-your-face as its predecessor 'TRE'. 'På herrens
brakmark' consists of four "genrewise-varied" songs. If
one is familiar with Gabestok's retarded discography,
you could say that this release gaps a bridge between
their demo recordings and their latest full length.
Grim, fierce, melodic and not without a touch of absurd
degenerate humour.
Like the rest of the Korpsånd releases, these tracks
were recorded at Mayhem in Copenhagen. However, unlike
the rest of Korpsånd, Gabestok seem to be more fond of
sleazy and violent cult movies in their artwork and
video output than the usual visual universe of the other
bands from the Copenhagen-based circle.
