Berlin-Hamburg duo Session Victim close out their Sidequests trilogy with a
four-track set that captures everything that's made them so consistent over
the years - groove, warmth and an ear for detail. 'Too Soft To Be Loud',
co-written with Viken Arman, appears here in Ian Pooley's remix, a rolling
house cut that deepens the mood without losing its sparkle. The original
'Know Less', also with Arman, leans into woozy chords and loose percussion,
while 'Broken Coast' pushes a little harder, its bassline anchoring
flickers of melody and texture. The finale 'Rain Or Shine', with Eo, floats
somewhere between deep house and downtempo, a reflective closer to a
project that's always prized feel over flash. It's a fitting end to the
series, understated but full of character.
