Only the second-ever EP here from The CJP Band, who made
their debut last year with 'You Me And The Music', also on
Supa Jams.
Their sophomore outing packs two cuts: 'You're A Star' has
the soaring strings, harmonised vocals and sumptuous
production values of authentic mid-70s disco, augmented by
some squalling six-string work and dressed with a light
coating of Dave Lee-esque disco-house polish, while the
accompanying 'World Gone Crazy' is a somewhat more sedate
affair, complete with a soulful male vocal from one Joe
Bell.
Both are plenty playable but 'You're A Star' snatches the
gold.
