Well here it is, the second album from Oxide & Neutrino,
brought to you by the scenes Friendly Ghost EGO!
CD2 contains all tracks as instrumentals, instead of a
select set mixed by Oxide as some track listings show?
"Continuing to lead from the front when it comes to UK
underground garage runnings, Oxide and Neutrino's second
album proper is another quantum leap forward. Whilst
'Execute' was at the beginning of their learning curve as a
duo (as opposed from their roles in Solid Crew), '2 Stepz
Ahead' is the sound of a music making collective at the top
of their game. Having mastered the basics of studio art,
Oxide is now crafting new garage sounds seemingly out of
thin air and, in the process, laying down the perfect
soundbeds over which Neutrino can lace his rhymes. For those
who know the duo from the raw, nervous energy of their debut
album, '2 Stepz Ahead' may seem a world away but it's a more
considered, more mature world over which Oxide and Neutrino
preside with deserved pride."
