WRC FIA World Rally Championship: Rally Islas Canarias
The WRC returns to the volcanic landscapes of the Atlantic for the
50th anniversary of Rally Islas Canarias. Serving as the championship's
fifth round from April 23 – 26, this "Golden Edition" brings Spain to
the global stage with a route that is as breathtaking as it is brutal.
Based in the vibrant capital of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the 2026
itinerary features 18 special stages and over 300km of competition
across the heart of the island. The centrepiece of the opening day is
a historic return to the BP Ultimate - Circuito Islas Canarias, where
the WRC’s stars will compete side-by-side in a stadium-style showdown
reminiscent of the legendary Race of Champions.
From the coastal sprints to the dizzying mountain climbs of the
interior, Rally Islas Canarias offers a pure asphalt theatre that
rewards precision and punishes the slightest hesitation.
