in 2006 the schmiede is going to transfer. this topic is a general
direction, we encourage our future participants (from here on
"smiths") to consider this topic, however this is not mandatory.
one example might be: the audio sector will be producing as
always. however this time we encourage our participants and guests
to think about mobile devices and distribution.
the next generation of the mobile information devices opens a wide
spectrum of decentralized possibilities. but, what is potential
without understanding its usability or leverage?
where will we be lead by these new developments? towards __an
anarchy of free riders or an extreme form of peer2peer democracy?
are new possibilities for allocation and processing of information
and knowledge opening up? are we prepared to use them? can we use
them for our personal fun and/or progress? what are the
applications of the future? is there any sense in asking these
questions? etc.....
these are only some of the questions we will be asking in and
around the schmiede06. who knows us knows that we do neither
preach nor teach. the schmiede is a platform and network, we only
give impulses and offer possibilities, the path has to be walked
by everyone him/herself.
the central mission of the schmiede is and has always been the
tranfer of friendship, information, thoughts, competencies etc...
and how that works and how we can learn to make it work.
