Master PÆs triple platinum-certified Ghetto D stands as one of southern
hip-hopÆs defining albums. This deluxe commemorative edition includes Ghetto DÆs
19 original album tracks and adds a second disc with four bonus tracks that were
previously unreleased or unavailable.

In the early æ90s, Percy Miller, AKA Master P, tapped into a thriving but
under-developed New Orleans hip-hop scene to create No Limit Records. With its
solid gold military tank logo, No Limit deployed a fierce unit of rappers under
Master PÆs command. While other southerners like Outkast and Eightball & MJG
emerged lyrically and slowly turned heads, Master P came out blazing, storming
hip-hop while it was locked in a protracted East-West battle. Master P will
forever be cemented in hip-hop history as the SouthÆs colonel who charged the
scene on his own terms and commanded the respect of dueling coasts.

Ghetto D invaded the charts in 1997, planting its flag at #1 on both the overall
Billboard 200 Albums chart and BillboardÆs Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
Showcasing Master PÆs squadron of No Limit soldiers, including Mia X, Mystikal,
C Murder, Fiend and Silkk The Shocker, the album incited rioting on dance floors
with its anthem Make æEm Say Ugh (#11 Hot Rap/#16 Hot 100), while I Really
Miss My Homies (#2 Hot Rap; #25 Hot 100) is a hip-hop ballad dedicated to
departed friends and victims of gang violence, backed by Master PÆs younger
brother Silkk and UGKÆs Pimp C. To date, Ghetto D has sold more than three
million copies in the U.S. alone.

Master P has earned record-breaking success in the music business, with
cumulative album sales totaling more than 50 million units. To date, Master P
has garnered 12 multi-platinum, 10 platinum and 12 gold records. For two years
in a row, The Source voted Master P the #1 most powerful player in rap music. A
