'the guardian' celebrated black star liner's latest album "bengali
bantam youth experience", released in great britain on wea as
probably the greatest anglo-asian band release to date.
less political than their famous colleagues asian dub foundation,
they are weirder and more eccentric than cornershop and a lot more
club compatible than their real world colleagues joi.
bandleader and singer chogue hosein lists punk, reggae and bombay
as the band's three touchstones. their leopard-spotted mercedes
enjoys in leeds almost the same level of fame as klf's chevrolet
did in their time. when fergal sharkey (former undertones vocalist)
signed up bsl for the new virgin label exp in 1996, klf were
consulted as spiritual advisers and rumour has it that there are
still quite a few remixes waiting in the safe...!
without a doubt black star liner's idiosynchratic blend of techno,
dub, bluebeat and bollywood is at the height of its time. only
narrowly did they miss this year's mercury award, coming in a close
second after talvin singh.

yemen cutta connection plus bonus tracks( 2 of them unreleased and
believe it or not, the safe opened up the gates... ? a klf remix of
duggie dhol. killah album...!!!
