sandor caron - harmonica and cross cd
sandor caron has been producing high quality tracks for years. his
compositions add a new level of depth to dance music while
retaining the essential qualities of soul and groove.
with his debut album on m4s, sandor caron will take his unique
style to a broader audience.
focusing on the abstract side of dance music, harmonica and cross
manages to strike a balance between ambient soundscapes, subtle
harmonies and down- or uptempo rollin' beats that reveal sandor's
ear for detail, atmosphere and productional perfection.
always looking for new rhythms and sounds, sandor manages to steer
free of any dance music cliches. although terms like triphop, d&b,
detroit or nu-breaks come to mind, there's always an unexpected
element that keeps you spellbound 'till the last note fades out...
after his debut ep 'incompatible' on signum recordings, an ep by
cellvoice (a collaberation with richard van kruysdijk a.k.a. sonar
lodge) was released on the amsterdam based delsin records label,
which also released a 12" with remixes of 'zwepg typis' (a track
from the compilation ep 'coda' on m4s) by as one (kirk degiorgio),
relaxo abstracto and sandor himself. after contributing to two
music for speakers samplers; 'compilation 1' and 'coda', his
solo-12" 'auriform / incondite' was released on m4s and was warmly
received by both dj's and press. (check our website for reviews)
he currently collaborates with max 404, kirsty hawkshaw (opus iii,
orbital), roomtone (a.k.a. guitarist jeroen kimman) and with his
brother david caron and dj aardvarck on a live electronics /
improvisation project called relaxo abstracto, which has recently
extended it's activities to remixing (zuco 103, sonar lodge) and
will release a new 12" this year on m4s.
next to the cd release, a 12" entitled 'agenda' is released. (m4s
09 ep)
while funckarma and sonar lodge reinterpret the epic track
'agenda' in their typical, cutting edge styles, dj's will be
especially pleased to find the swinging cd-title track 'harmonica
and cross' on vinyl. a definite floorfiller!
