DEFECTED'S sixth instalment from the sessions series brings Brian Tappert's
premier US soulful house label 'Soulfuric' into play. Back to where Defected
began - Soulfuric was in fact the label Defected signed it's first ever track
from - Soulsearcher's (Mark Pomeroy) 'Can't Get Enough' back in 1999.
The Soulfuric Sessions brings two CDs - Conveying a sound of how real house
music should be - soulful, jazzy and with grooves like no other; music that
you can dance to, music you can sing to, music that is - music.

CD ONE, mixed by Jazz n' Groove (Brian Tappert and Mark Pomeroy), takes on a
melodic vibe; creating a groove that will lock any 'true' house head into it's mood.
Sampling the sublime oldskool sound of MAW's (featuring India's distinctive vocals)
'Backfired', Mambana's jazzy, percussive 'No Reason', Salome De Bahia's Latin inspired
'Theme of Rio' and Afro Medusa's hot, sexy, groove fuelled 'Dreams'. It creates
a fresh sound perfect for lazy summer days and warm summer evenings.
CD TWO, mixed by the Cleptomaniacs (Brian Tappert, John 'Julius' Knight and Mark Pomeroy),
carries a deeper vibe. Hott 22's 'Dreamscape' is reminiscent of Jon Sa Trincha's Ibiza
hangout, whilst DJ Chus' 'That Feeling' captures summer's essence in a 4/4 beat.
