for those out there wanting to explore the new sound of
west london that includes ig culture, laws of motion, etc
then this is the perfect starting point. mixed by alex
attais, formally of bel air project and currently going
under the names mustang and catalyst, he perfectly
captures the most exciting music around in a beautifuly
compiled and mixed cd. in times where most mix cd's are
now tv advertised, super club endorsed money makers, its
refreshing to hear something fresh and genuine.

for most of the last decade, the backrooms in clubs have
been where the exciting, cutting edge music has existed.
with no pressure for the dj's to keep the crowd dancing,
it gave them the chance to experiment a bit more.
thankfully in the last couple of years the backroom dj's
have moved into the main room, in the process revitalising
underground club culture. listen to the gorgeous, eclectic
selection and you will see what i mean.
this is seriously cutting edge material. from the future
drum 'n' bass beginnings of g force & seiji to the
heavyweight jazz of jessica lauren this is music from
another world. when the original detroit pioneers derrick
may and juan atkins talked about a future music, this is
what they were talking about. listen to modaji's 'outboard
jepordy' or the genius of 2 bugz 'brazilliance' stacked
beside the sounds of jazzanova, nubian mindz and king
britt and you start to realise how good this selection
     really is.

praise must also be paid to the manner in which alex mixes
all these tracks together. it is done effortlessly and
smoothly, yet leaves each track enough time on its own to
shine. if you have any interest in electronic music then this is
     an absolute must buy.
