Marble Town is the first EP from Tokyo-based dream pop band Beachside talks.
After forming in 2017, they produced a grand and aesthetic sound similar to
The Cure or Cocteau Twins. In 2022, they digitally released killer tunes
such as "Seaside Story" and "Always", and with this EP they release a mini
album that includes those two songs.
Absorbing a wide range of sounds from 80's dream pop to the punkish shoegaze
sounds of the current Captured Tracks, they play a flood of innocent acoustics
centered around jangly guitar sounds.

About:
Beachside talks is a four-piece dream pop band based in Tokyo. The band
formed in 2017 as a university club cover band of the music of Relativity
Theory, and has been performing as an original band ever since.
Influenced by '80s UK rock such as The Cure and The Police, as well as
current shoegaze/dream pop such as Beach Fossils and DIIV, the band plays a
flood of innocent acoutics centered around a jangly guitar sounds.

Dream Pop
is a subgenre of
alternative rock and neo-psychedelia
that emphasizes atmosphere and sonic texture as much as pop
melody. Common characteristics include breathy vocals, dense productions,
and effects such as reverb, echo, tremolo, and chorus. It often
overlaps with the related genre of shoegaze, and the
two genre terms have at times been
used interchangeably.
