P&P is a legendary disco-dance-soul label from the 1970's, founded by
Patrick Adams and Peter Brown, who created numerous classics that
colored the disco era in NYC and still have legions of fans today.
While a number of renowned DJs, including Kenny Dope and DJ Spinna,
have contributed official Mix-CDs to the label, Yokohama's proud mix
maestro, DJ Kenta, has now become the first Japanese DJ to contribute
an official mix!

DJ Kenta: Born in Yokohama. Influenced by his parents who ran a record
store in the 1980s. He grew up listening to Sade and Hall & Oates from
an early age and was shocked by the golden age of hip-hop in the early
1990s. He is widely considered as one of the most up-in-coming hip-hop
DJ in Japan. A native of Yokohama, DJ Kenta first started playing out
at a legendary Shibuya Nuts Club in his hometown at 16 years old. Due
to his superb sense in mixing and thousands of his play list,he gained
a credit as one of the most smooth play in the clubs as expanding his
base throughout in Tokyo and Yokohama. He worked with well known DJ's
and artists in Japan and overseas. The list of the artists he has
worked includes: Black Eyed Peas, Questlove from the Roots, DJ Spinna,
DJ Jazzy Jeff etc. One of the legendary funk band, Crazy Ken Band,
appointed DJ Kenta as front act DJ for their show in Yokohama in 2008.
In 2011 as a next step, DJ Kenta played one of the most hip restaurant
in the meat packing district of NYC, expanding his possibility in the
world. The numerous DJ-mixes that have been released regularly on CD
for more than 15 years are a superb group of works that condense the
pursuit of musicality that transcends genres and the play just like on
the spot, and are loved by good music lovers from all over Japan.
