Jevetta Steele is most noted for her Academy
Awarded nominated performance of "Calling You"
from the film, Bagdad Cafe. Having started in
theater with her 7 year run with the Broadway and
touring hit, "The Gospel At Colonus", Ms. Steele
has extended herself in all areas of the
recording and jingle industry. She can be found
on recording with Prince, Mavis Staples, George
Clinton and Natalie Merchant, to name a few. She
is the voice over for Hefty Trash Bags, Rainbow
Foods and Tuesday Morning. She was also featured
in the film and soundtrack for 'Corinna,
Corrina".(Somewhere Over The Rainbow) With
theater being her first love, Ms. Steele has
written an autobiographical musical entitled "Two
Queens, One Castle", which is presently being
produced in theater around the USA.
Ms. Steele recently made her return to the
international
scene via Barcelona, Spain (May-July, 04) and
France/Germany
(September-November, 05) holding the starring
role(Brenda)in
"Bagdad Cafe, The Musical".
