            Originally released in 1991 and now thankfully re-
            released by Vic Records is the 'Exit: Reality' full-
            length by Belgian Thrashers Asphyxia.

            More than 30 years after its release we're treated to a
            well-deserved re-issue. Asphyxia was Thrash Metal from
            Verviers, Belgium formed in 1987 and they released 3
            demos and one full-length, it was also the first band
            from Christian Olde Wolbers (ex-Fear Factory).

            On their debut Asphyxia dish out the very best of Thrash
            Metal, influences from Testament, Dark Angel, Sacred
            Reich, old Megadeth and the likes are audible; the music
            is quite dynamic and very technical and the riffs are
            all over the place. It's 1990s Thrash Metal: a generally
            straightforward assault.

            Asphyxia may not have invented the genre, the album
            stands nonetheless solid. In all: a true gem of
            nostalgia when Thrash Metal was at its finest. Fans of
            old school Thrash Metal should really check out this
            album.

            Not to be confused with other bands with same name.
