 ▌ Biding his time in his Croydon hideout, Random trio's Cyrus steps    ▐
 ▌ forward with the shockingly good 'From the shadows' album for        ▐
 ▌ Tectonic. Coming in three installments for the vinyl heads, episode  ▐
 ▌ 1 is an absolute monster plate set to detonate the scene in a large  ▐
 ▌ way, from studied Mala style kicksteppers to tense halfstep          ▐
 ▌ movements all held down with serious bass weight, honestly we've     ▐
 ▌ never heard anything quite this heavy before. 'Gutter' hits hard     ▐
 ▌ with driving Mala style kickdrum patterns set to kill any floor,     ▐
 ▌ before 'Mindgames' really lets the subs loose with some proper bass  ▐
 ▌ scientifics at work, padding out a bulbous b-line under mutating     ▐
 ▌ dubstep patterns swtiching between halfstep and charging 4/4. 'Rasta ▐
 ▌ from' is set to become another smokers anthem from the tectonic      ▐
 ▌ stable, with yet more mind-bogglingly immaculate subs executed to    ▐
 ▌ perfection. Under the watchful eye of Pinch and Digital Mystikz      ▐
 ▌ Cyrus has really come up with the goods here, coming with massive    ▐
 ▌ support from Martin 'Blackdown' Clark to Kode 9 and Mary Anne-Hobbs  ▐
 ▌ this series/album is set to become one of the most essential of the  ▐
