life from different time frames. So much has happened for and to me
(both good and bad) and I believe if you understand my music, you

There are so many people I'm grateful to that I've met in my travels
around the world, many more than I could possibly put in print. For

Kerri Chandler is a vortex where tradition and innovation meet.
Tradition as in the soulful roots of Jersey house; innovation as in
the streamlined, sparse arrangements and shrewd use of technology.
Kerri masters rhythm and space.
With a solid education in Garage grooves, Kerri takes vocals, rhythms
and instruments and with uncanny precision pieces them together,
delivering beautiful, monster jams. In the expanses of his breaks the
odd counter rhythm will inexplicably appear for a second and then
disappear; creating fleshy excitement, not mechanical repetition. His
basslines go from heavy and heady to playful and quirky - always
deliriously intoxicating. His hooks are loving details like horn
hits, washes of synthesizer or catchy choruses that emerge to create
songs from a maddening bulldozer of brutal drive. Here the dreamer
takes hold, transporting us into a dimension of seemingly endless
travel...
Kerri prays before making a record, and his free spirit infuses this
nonstop album. With stellar guest talent like vocalist Carolyn
Harding, Carol Sylvan, Christopher Mcray, and Velva, and horn player
Hunter Hayes, each episode of this, the story of Kerri's King Street
Records output, shimmers and shimmies with every notice.
Kerri is sure to continue to startle us as he has from the very
beginning, with the now-classic scratch on Get It Off, his first
remix. His fusions, clamped to the beat of his unique, thundering

Kerri "Kaoz 6:23" Chandler turns in a typically soulful and funky mix
for King Street reflecting both his underground ethics and his
slammin' DJing style. He kicks off with a healthy vocal ("Just Wanna
Be With You" featuring Charles McDougal), before leaning into a
pumping jazzy cut ("Sunlight" featuring Hunter Hayes) and another
quality vocal (Carolyn Harding " Pick It Up"). The bass heavy,
repetitive groover ("Harder Gets Higher") picks up the tempo nicely
before giving way to the vocals and badass attitude of
("Hallelujah"). The mid section is vocal-based , and includes a remix
of the ("The Way I Feel" feturing The Tears Of Velva) Chandler's own
("Keep Me Inside") and Carole Sylvan's tasty ("I'm Ready"). The
latter half is more of the same, with Chandler's trademark mix of
proper uplifting songs and irresistibly phat trax. This is the sound
