   release notes:
   The primordial force is back! Danish deathers URKRAFT return with their
   4th album Our Treacherous Fathers, the follow-up to A Scornful Death from
   2008. The non-typical album artwork might have given a hint here - album
   title carved into something like an tombstone with 4 cut-off fingers
   lying on, accompanied by some flowers. Our Treacherous Fathers is more on
   the slow side, it floats over you like a stream of lava and the only
   orientation you get comes from the desperate screams of Thomas S.
   Pedersen. His performance is outstanding and emotional. URKRAFT wrote a
   couple of hymns to the dark that perfectly float through your speakers.
   Sad harmonies and majestic melodies merge with grooves to die for. Maybe
   the closest I'd compare this to is Bolt Thrower or the British Gommorrah
   (mid 90s Death Metal), but it wouldn't do the album justice. Our
   Treacherous Fathers is something special, a unique piece of Death Metal.
   Maybe I should criticize the short playing time of the album but here it
   just feels like you're listening to one epos and when it's over, there's
   nothing you can do, but push 'repeat'.
   Not to be confused with other bands with same name.
