dXb TOUANE (aka MARCO TONNI) is a lucky guy. After his dXb
dXb relocation to Berlin, Germany in 2005 he quickly dXb
dXb found success as a producer after a series of 12"s dXb
dXb and his first album gave him a name and identity in dXb
dXb the European electronic music community. This success dXb
dXb came from his own perspective of music which dXb
dXb emphasizes the organic, the colorful, and the dXb
dXb surprising in an era where most music released seems dXb
dXb to present minor variations of a monochromatic theme. dXb
dXb His first album "Awake," released in 2005, presented dXb
dXb a spectrum of new ideas which placed him at the dXb
dXb periphery of the minimal techno world. With his dXb
dXb follow-up album "Figura" he brings his narrative even dXb
dXb further. Inspired by the jazz records spun during his dXb
dXb legendary dinner parties; cooking up linguine con dXb
dXb scampi, with a bottle of Pinot Grigio close at hand, dXb
dXb and WEATHER REPORT, JOHN COLTRANE and MILES DAVIS on dXb
dXb the hi-fi. Marco took the more elaborate composition dXb
dXb techniques and restructured his own palette into new dXb
dXb hybrid shapes. dXb
dXb Figura presents a series of vignettes for the dXb
dXb listener about the imaginary life of an imaginary dXb
dXb girl. This feminine muse provided him a starting dXb
dXb point from which he could build his own narrative. dXb
dXb Not a story per se, but an emotional mirror upon dXb
dXb which he can direct our senses, and shape our dXb
dXb understanding of her la figura. Across the 13 songs dXb
dXb of the album, Marco knits a day in her life using dXb
dXb acoustic instruments, field recordings and his lovely dXb
dXb singing voice, immersed into the dXb
dXb strangely-now-traditional computer synthesis, dXb
