Dysthymian is, once again, a one-man band; in this case,
we have a man named, funny enough if you ask me, Somber!
Swedish Depressive Black Metal is offered here on this
independent release. Six tracks full of dark, depressive
songs and one cold instrumental make up the album. If
you pay proper attention to the guitar riffs, you will
hear Burzum-esque patterns, but to my taste, it doesn't
come close to the impact or atmosphere that Burzum has.
Sweden is infamous for music in general, but when it
comes to music created from depression itself, I believe
they take the crown.
Dysthymian, with their first and only full-length album,
reaches out to all of us, spewing poisonous and fair
amounts of tears, screams, sweat, and a kind of chronic
depression.
