If the whole balearic chill out scene (and from Ibiza in
particular) had to be synthesized in one name it would
probably be Lenny Ibizarre... as much and maybe more
than Jose' Padilla he was one of the most influential
people to push this music style (or rather way of
living) and make it what it is now (except for the
commercialization and ruthless exploitation of the
infinite VA*chill*Ibiza compilations...)
This is the first collection of his own productions (no
remixes), all inspired by the magical atmosphere in
Ibiza and created right on the island. The first thing
that comes to mind while listening really is "timeless":
These tunes have aged surprisingly well. Whether at
work, at the end of a party, or just on your favourite
sofa, if this music doesn't take your mind to one of the
magical beaches in Ibiza then you might as well be dead.
Enjoy.

Official Bio: "Lenny emerged on the music scene in Ibiza
in 1997 with his debut album "The Ambient Collection"; a
refreshing laid-back affair encapsulating Ibiza's
chilled environment. "An amalgamation of slow-burning
funked-up retro-grooves clad in subliminal soundscapes
of tender melancholy and inner peace.", as the press put
it at the time. The album was hailed by reviewers and
chill-out DJs like Jose Padilla with whom Lenny
temporarily remixed and co-produced. Within the year he
was sound-tracking movies and documentaries as well as
remixing several cult artist lurking in the vault of
major labels. Over the last years he has firmly
established himself as a leading force in the Ibizan
chill-out scene through continous contribution to local
events such as Dream Daze 5-day ambient festival at
Kumharas which attracted more than 50 devoted
nternational live artists and DJs, who all came down to
contribute their skill for the cause. The following
season he released "The Ambient Collection Vol. 4" which
topped all chill charts score full points in virtually
every review. The Ambient Collections represent the very
finest of his work. For three years he has held a
primetime DJ slot in the Spanish radio network Cadena
Cien Ibiza y Fomentera, as well as a residence at the
Cafe' Del Mar every weekend. Today his summer schedule
is mostly international but you can still catch him
spinning in Ibiza for his residences in Pacha, Mambo,
Kumharas and Cafe' Del Mar.
Today his music can be found on Ibiza Chill-Out CD
compilations, TV adverts and programs, Videos, DVD and
even 64 Mb Ram Chips. His "Chillled Ibiza" compilation
for Warner went platinum in the UK selling 450.000
copies. His music is found in over 4 millions sold CDs,
from Ministry of Sound to Cafe' del Mar. He has produced
two DVDs and 4 DJ compilations with 2 more on the way.
He has performed live at Pacha, Space on Sunday, Amnesia
and Ku (Now Privilege). Last season his sessions in
Europe included The Big Chill Enchanted Gardens in the
UK all the way to Gatecrashers Summer Sound System.
Other venues include Dance Valley in Amsterdam and
Israel's Hugo Gardens, NAMM2000 LA, Venue (Athens),
Kaufleuten (Zurich). Dates for this summer includes
Roskilde Festival, Solipse Festival at Mount Fuji, a
tour of the greek island and italy."
greets in no particular order to: tronik, kW, DPS, diss,
Hz. keep the good music coming.
