"Continuing to mark his territory with a flagrantly laid
back style, Kamal Joory drops the moody 'Unnecessary
Styles' on his own Berkane Sol label. The title track
introduces a collaboration with vocalist Marita, weaving
breathy snippets and lines through opiated blue sequences.
The only element keeping the track's head above water is
the fine attention to detail on the subs padded out with
the precision only afforded to an experienced producer
such as Geiom. 'Auxology' perks up, utilising a grimy
synth riff with subtly syncopated drum melodies and heavy
lidded atmospherics. Another excellent twelve from this
gifted producer."
