One of Brazil's greatest vocalist meets one of its hippest
bossa combos. Pery Ribeiro was a singer with a pre-bossa style,
but during the 60s, he really managed to pick up on the new
mode of music -- and turn his more romantic vocals
into a sweetly grooving style that really worked with bossa
rhythms. This set is one of his best in that mode, and it
features some tight and jazzy backing by Bossa 3 -- the
legendary combo that featured Luiz Carlos Vinhas on piano.
Orchestrations are by Meirelles, and titles include "O Canto De
Ossanha", "Amanha", "A Mesma Cancao", "Tristeza", "Ole Ola",
"Joao Do Tem", "Se O Caro Parar", and "Tempo Feliz".
