   |  Shards of Aetherion is a dark fantasy metroidvania about a fallen    |
   |  sorcerer trapped within a mysterious world consumed by giant plants  |
   |  and corrupted Aether.                                                |

   |  Stripped of your former power, you must explore the ruins of         |
   |  Aetherion, collect scattered Aether Shards, and recover ancient      |
   |  runes that grant powerful abilities such as double jump and astral   |
   |  dash.                                                                |
   |  Traverse forgotten paths, survive deadly creatures, and uncover      |
   |  the truth behind the world that refuses to let you leave.            |
   |                                                                       |
   |  But as your strength returns, so do the memories of what you once    |
   |  were.                                                                |

   |  Gather enough Aether to open the sealed gate, confront the           |
   |  Last Ascendant, and discover the terrible secret hidden at the       |
